Job Description

    The Network Operations Engineer is a member of the Network Operations Team, supporting hardware, software and applications comprising the Network Infrastructure. This job requires the fundamental understanding of Switching, Routing, and the TCPIP Stack. It includes analyzing, monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading of network switches, routers, wireless access points, firewall appliances and other devices. Candidate should have a deep understanding of network protocols like SSH, FTP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and SwitchingRouting protocols. As a Network Admin, there is a lot of interaction and coordination that goes on with other teams such as the systems and cybersecurity team, the Help Desk and Network Engineering team. Network Administrators also support network upgrades and new product rollouts, which involves configuration management compliance. Network Administrators respond to alerts, events, and customer reported issues within stated service level agreements and escalate problems as required to the engineering team, and resolve significant matters exercising independent judgment ensuring that TCWs network security and performance standards are met. Responsibilities include : - Help establish networking environment by contributing to the design, configuration, and implementation of new networks. - Follow procedures and standards as outlined by TCW policy. - Contribute to the development and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment. - Analyze and fix network performance issues utilizing available tools. - Troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades and collaborate with network architects and engineers on network optimization. - Installremove hardware and move equipment on as needed between data centers and Hub rooms. - Undertake data network fault investigations in LANWAN environments by using information from multiple sources. - Upgrading data network equipment to latest stable OS releases in coordination with the networking security and engineering teams. - Configuration of routing and switching equipment. - Support Data Center equipment deployment and configurations (and Juniper). - Troubleshoot day-to-day User related issues starting from basic connectivity all the way to network performance and latency issues. - Basic configuration of firewalls and Perimeter security actions. - Provide On Call support. Qualifications : To qualify, should have work experienceproficiency in configurationmaintenance the following : - Juniper and Cisco Switches (Routers a plus). - VPN (Citrix, CheckPoint). - IP Fabric. - Python scripting. - Expertise in routing and switching, Wireless Access Points (Meraki). - Desirable to have Juniper certifications in any of the following : JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-SP, JNCIP-SP and Cisco equivalent certifications.
