Job Description

As part of the Network Services team within Oracles Global Information Technology organization, you will be responsible for the delivery of IT services to Oracles businesses worldwide, these services include the management and delivery of network infrastructure.Maintain records of equipment failure and liaise with engineers and suppliers as necessary. Escalate client problems according to established procedures. Manage the network using network management tools, analyze network performance and recommend network enhancements. Analyze network performance to ensure adequate bandwidth for business needs. Recommend enhancements to the network infrastructure, and with management agreement enhance proactive network management tool set. Troubleshoot network problems on the campus network, remote locations and country wide area network though to resolution. Perform Project Engineering including specification definition, design of solution in compliance with corporate standards, implementation, testing through to production. Respond to monitor alarms to identify the root cause of an outage and coordinate the corrective action in a timely fashion.Provide on-call support services as needed and provide assistance to others.Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years relevant work experience and degree/diploma in computer science or IT discipline., Network Engineer Cloud Properties Network OperationsWe are seeking a Network Engineer to work in our Network Operations Organization. This team is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting various Oracle SaaS Products on a 24x7 basis. The ideal candidate for this team would have knowledge of supporting and troubleshooting a multi-vendor Data Center environment and be comfortable in customer facing situations. Experience implementing and supporting Load Balancing, Firewalls, Layer 2/3 Switching Technologies, and Routings Protocols such as BGP, EIGRP and OSPF is required. Will need hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and F5. Must be able to manage large scale projects to completion either as a project lead or a contributor. Engineers are expected to self-manage multiple projects at a time, while providing regular status updates and documentation. A background in Linux Administration and in network automation and scripting is a plus.

• Background with high availability, high performance compute, and supporting large-scale 24x7 networks
• Regularly evaluates existing cloud infrastructure to identify risks or opportunities for improvement
• Designs and supports mission-critical, high-availability architectures
• Migrates on-premise workload(s) to Oracle cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Experience with network Cisco IOS or JunOS Operating Systems
• Strong Understanding of Hardware Load Balancers in a large Data Center environment
• Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements, project launch and eventual completion
• Demonstrated experience automating and managing networks (automated provisioning, remote configuration, etc. )
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and project management frameworks
• Highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in automation a plus; including shell scripting or programming languages such as Python, Perl or Shell
• Responds to technical issues in a professional and timely manner
• Participates in on-call, after-hours rotation schedules
• Participates in after-hours upgrades and troubleshooting activities as required
