Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Officer - LOGISTICS, is responsible to coordinate for all matters related to destination custom clearance, regulatory approvals, build relations on the ground and ensure timely deliveries to site. In this area they have a functional alignment to Logistics Manager & Head in India and should work closely and transparently. Objective To ensure timely deliveries.

  • Maintaining tracker for all shipments scheduled to arrive at Lom port and inform Logistics team( India/central) for necessary support and action as needed.
  • Review weekly dispatch / arrival/offloading performance as per Operation plan and update country project team and central Logistics team on the progress and /or issued.
  • Understand and execute the Operation plan thoroughly on the ground and keep communication very stable between project, India logistics and forwarder teams.
  • Proactively maintain alerts of overdue payments to forwarders at country level, alert central logistics to support in case of any delivery operation impact.
  • Accompany Central logistics team members during meetings with local freight forwarder /liner
