This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role Responsibilities Job Summary
    • Responsible for managing HADOOP platform and underlying infrastructure.
    • Optimize HBASE, KAFKA and SPARK for heavily utilized real-time applications.
    • Fine tune hive environment for batch ingest workload.
    • Monitoring end to end Hadoop Cluster using enterprise class monitoring tools, reviewing logs and performing validation tasks.
    • Preventive maintenance, trouble shooting of issues, handling critical, major and minor issues arising in the cluster.
    • Co-ordination with internal and Vendor support teams for end to end resolution of network issues, hardware issues and user complaints.
    • Administration of enterprise level security using LDAP, Kerberos and Ranger.
    • YARN and HDFS Capacity planning and management.
    • Commissioning, Decommissioning & Balancing of Hadoop data nodes, when required.
    • Monitor cluster health status on daily basis, tuning system performance related configuration parameters, backing up of critical configuration xml files and metadata bases.
    Responsibilities
    • Ensure SLO, SLI and Error budget requirements are not impacted due to infra or platform issues or outages.
    • Adherence to compliance and Risk management framework.
    • Remediation of infra/Hadoop related NCs, ICS Risks or Audit gaps
    • Troubleshoot and restore normal service operation as soon as possible and to minimize the adverse effect of disruption on normal business operations.
    • Conduct Blameless post-mortem to prevent infra or platform incidents from happening, and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented
    • Change review from an infra/platform perspective to ensure best practices are followed
    • Provide subject matter expertise for the application support team.
    • Fine tuning of Linux OS for Hadoop performance improvement.
    • Ensure that the capacity of IT services and the IT infrastructure can deliver the agreed service level targets in a cost effective and timely manner
    • Prepare cluster capacity forecasts and utilization reports for higher management.
    • User management & Application on-boarding.
    • Apply Hadoop patching and upgrades.
    • Flexible to work in shifts as the application need to be supported in 16/7 * 365 days.
