Job Description

Accountabilities & Responsibilities :

  1. Internal petroleum price trend analysis and updating of Management Dashboard reflecting expected price changes in domestic markets on daily basis which aids in decision making
  2. Updating daily international price movements from various publications.
  3. Derivation of Refinery Transfer prices
  4. Ensuring Correct and Timely Derivation and Maintenance of Prices - New RO, New linkage, Amendment RTKm, Ref RO Amendment & Maintaining price for all the ROs on daily basis and analysis of same based on competitor price changes and marketing inputs.
  5. Daily finalization of Domestic Prices for petroleum products. Planning & analysis.
  6. MIS to management on the margin analysis that aids in decision making for pricing philosophy.
  7. Margin analysis for ROs before induction / award of allotment letters.
  8. Updating RSPs based on changes in RTKMs, taxation, freight change, etc.
  9. Updating discounts and selling price for bulk products and sales to PSUs for allocated product category / geographical area on a fortnightly and monthly basis and analysis of same based on competitor price changes and marketing inputs.
  10. Fortnightly and Monthly finalization of Domestic Prices for petroleum products.
  11. Pricing for customers based on specific contracts / formulae based, etc.
  12. Planning & analysis. Ensure adherence to discount policy.
  13. Updating selling price based on changes in taxation, etc.
  14. Timely maintenance of prices in SAP.
  15. This requires uploading prices in SAP and conducting price check to ensure correct reporting of prices
  16. Fine-tuning RO-wise RSPs
  17. Analysis and corrections, if necessary of RSPs.
  18. Mapping and configuration of new pricing mechanism and structures in SAP Systems based on type of end customers and products.
  19. SAP Systems and processes
  20. Documenting the pricing processes and exploring avenues for improvement in the current processes.
  21. Preparing SOPs for better practices
  22. Determination of Internal Transfer Prices for Own Consumption of petroleum products
  23. Aiding internal transfer of material between Marketing and Refinery.
  24. State Capital RSPs change analysis and deviation reporting and Incorporation of HPCL State Capital RSPs for daily deviation analysis
  25. Daily analysis and deviation resolution.
  26. Comparison with industry RSPs
  27. Review pricing discrepancies and audit observations and ensure closure of same within a reasonable time.
  28. Address pricing discrepancies in consultation with all concerned. Timely compliance and resolvance of queries
  29. Feasibility study for New / alternate Supply Location for Retail and Bulk supplies taking into account the various factors like geographical location, presence of our facility (asset or agreement), tax, freight etc. pan India
  30. Margin analysis and ranking of various supply locations based on margins.
  31. Timely and correct dissemination of RSPs and Prices to be charged- Sharing Retail circular, SMS and ensuring completeness of the same
  32. Timely and correct price communication
