Job Description

Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Perform analysis and design of various structures for static and dynamic forces covering dead loads, live loads, operating loads, temperature, wind, seismic and pulsations. Experience required in analysis and design of Steel structures like Piperack s, Technological Structures, Shelters, GMPs, VMPs, Pipe supports, Trussles, connection design and RCC structures like RCC Buildings, Pits, precast pipe racks, Equipment foundations for static and dynamic conditions. Design of Piles, pile caps, Base plates, anchor bolts.
    • Experience in design of underground services like trenches, pits, manholes and drainage systems will be added advantage.
    • Co-ordination with designers for 3D model and 2D drawings, checking model and drawings, MTO, Co-ordination with other discipline for inputs and clearances on drawings.
    • Co-ordination with detailers for resolving queries from detailers and fabrication shops. Resolution of site queries.
    • Read and interpret Soil investigation reports for the application on project.
    • Assist in the preparation of technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Partake in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Review design calculations, ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.
    • Provide inputs for the preparation of plot plans, organize the issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC s) coordinate with other engineering disciplines in the integration of data inputs.
    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
    • Good Communication skills, Ability to work in a team, Ability to Meet Schedules and deadlines, Cost consciousness.
    • Alertness and attention to detail, Proactive approach, multi-Tasking abilities, Analytical.
    • Knowledge of STAAD PRO, Mat3D, Foundation3D and Navisworks software is a must.
    • Added advantages TEKLA, ACAD, other 3D modeling software, GT STRUDL, ETABs.
    • Knowledge with Indian and International Codes and Standards, specifications, PIPs is a must.
    • Bachelor s degree in civil engineering with an aggregate above 60%.
    • Relevant experience of minimum 5 to 10 years related to Oil & Gas, Petrochemical experience, preferable from a background in working for consultancy organizations in the EPC of the Oil and Gas Industry.
