Job Description

Role Overview

Calypso Technology is seeking a Principal Front Office Specialist for our Global Project Management Center for Excellence. The Project Management Center for Excellence (PMCE) is comprised of highly experienced and knowledgeable functional and technical consultants who specialize in the implementation of Calypso s solutions across each one of the asset classes and/or functional areas. the Front Office Specialist will work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Solution Architects and Regional Customer Delivery Directors to collect the information required to support the pricing, positioning and closing of service opportunities . Its primary focus are the development and materialization of winning project proposals and ensuring the delivery practice compliance to the defined project standards, focusing on project excellence, and acting as a subject matter experts and standards body for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • You will be collaborating with regional directors, cross functional teams, regional project managers and sales to collect the data necessary to support service pricing, then execute project estimation, provide answers to RFI/RFP, and create implementation proposals and first SOW drafts.
  • You will support the Regional Customer Delivery teams in scoping, conveying plans, issues and concerns to clients and team members in a clear, logical, and concise manner. They will need to also be able to influence key decision makers both internally and externally.
  • Simultaneously work with the regional teams to execute technical and functional solution design.
  • Provide expert level guidance and recommendation on implementation strategies, project estimations and during project reviews on the Front Office Business Analysis domain.
  • You will support in training and develop project management and delivery competence within Customer Delivery, working across the organization to promote the Calypso Delivery Framework specifically and the service strategy in general.
  • Also review, measure, and report on performance on defined projects portfolio, while providing expert guidance to Delivery staff on project approaches and strategies.
  • Conduct project kick offs and regular project reviews to analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders.

Desired Skillset

  • Excellent understanding of business analysis and system implementation and design services within enterprise software, preferably within the Capital Markets industry.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing position with a software or services/consulting vendor.
  • Experience in the implementation of a Front or Back office system within a Bank, Hedge Fund or Asset Manager.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for high quality deliverables and documentation.
  • Must be customer driven and capable to work within a collaborative team environment focused on providing a high quality of service to the customer.
  • Strong knowledge and functional experience in at least one of the following asset classes: Foreign Exchange and Money Market, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Equities and Equity Derivatives, Commodities and Commodity Derivatives.
  • Front Office Requirements: Detailed hands on knowledge about industry standard front office standards for market data management such as (bootstrapping algorithm), trade capture, pricing (Black Scholes, Cox Ross), and risk (Monte Carlo, VAR).
  • Able to manage a multi-location team and deliver projects.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills. Candidate must be able to create and manage a complex project plan in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Strong project management and documentation skills.
  • Strong and demonstrable problem solving/analytical skills, including adaptability.
  • Certifications such as CFA and FRM are preferred and considered a differentiator.
