Job Description

Principal Technical ArchitectJob Locations IN-MumbaiRequisition ID 2021-57681 Category Research & Development Whats the role Your responsibility will be to drive the success of the HERE platform effort through deliberate, clear, and consistent architecture, system design, and communication. You will ensure that automation and testing is on par with our platform quality. You will be the technical subject matter expert for multiple engineering teams, working with them in an agile and inclusive manner.As part of the HERE platform Architecture group, we are a group of exceptionally talented doers who work passionately to apply cutting-edge and open-source technologies to build a location cloud platform. We work in close partnership with respective product and engineering management teams to ensure success.We enable our customers to build targeted solutions using HERE Location Platform. Our group focuses on location services such as Routing, Rendering, Search, Geocoding, Positioning, Urban Mobility including using customer supplied data and algorithms. The Our customers range from tech, media, and telecommunications, to automotive and retail. Who are you You bring a hands-on pragmatic approach and an analytical mind-set with a sound theoretical basis. Furthermore you have:

  • Bachelor s degree or higher in computer science
  • 10+ years of experience in delivering software products or systems in various roles, experience in lead engineer or lead architect roles as well as designing distributed cloud services with high revenue and billions of transactions
  • 3+ years in architect roles
  • Thought Leader and expert in RESTful API design, scripting, and deployment and testing automation
  • Experience in Kubernetes and Docker technology, understanding of microservices architectural style
  • Experience in AWS and/or Azure cloud technology
  • Experience with operating and maintaining large scale distributed web services
  • Fluency in Java or Scala
