Job Description

New Business Originationo Identify, develop and secure new relationships through personal and client referrals, Barclays Group internal networks and corporate and investment banking sources.o Achieve personal and team targets for new clients, assets and revenues.Client Relationship Managemento Maintain highest levels of service and delivery to existing clients at all times.o Key contact for all investment advice and client queries.o Key interface between clients and other parts of PBOS and the wider Barclays Group.Governance and Controlo Ensure conformity with global and market standards of client service, regulatory compliance, T&C, KYC, product delivery and operating model.Investment Advice and Financial Solutionso Provide innovative and world class financial solutions to meet client needs including:o Investment Management: Offers a range of services depending on client demands, including modelled, bespoke, discretionary and advisory portfolios. Investment Management works closely with the Private Bankers to provide a holistic service to clientso Balance Sheet: Offers Banking, Credit and FX products to support a wide range of clients borrowing needs including finance for property and luxury purchaseso Wealth Advisory: Provides fiduciary solutions, wealth planning and structuring services plus trust and estate planningo Alternative Investments: Offers clients exposure to hedge funds, private equity, commodities and real estateo Barclays Partnerships: Enables clients to access products and services traditionally available only to institutional clients, e.g. Structured Products, DCM, M&A, RSGStakeholder Management and LeadershipAgree and meet revenue targets & NNA as agreed with the CEOSet the strategy for the region/ target market and implement in line with Barclays best practiceMake a demonstrable contribution to developing new and emerging talent within the onshore India business.Decision-making and Problem SolvingThe role holder will require very active multi-tasking skills to analyse in detail and react quickly to portfolio performance related issues, client queries and product proposition related information.Person SpecificationProfessional/technical experienceOur professionals come from diverse international backgrounds such as law, accountancy, corporate finance and equity analysis as well as private banking. They all have a breadth of experience in their area of geographical expertise. All of our client-facing professionals are mapped to a market focused team comprised of multi-lingual individuals who are fluent in all aspects related to their clients needs including local market, tax, estate planning and liquidity.Very strong relationship skills with experience of managing and handling the sophisticated needs of individuals and familiesExperience of building a client base using internal and external networksEffective in gaining an in-depth understanding of client s needs and advising on a diverse range of wealth management solutionsSatisfies the criteria for an approved person both initially and ongoing this will involve obtaining the relevant qualifications if not already qualified.Significant experience of the Financial Services industry and skilled in differentiating advice according to the complexity of the client s requirements.Detailed regulatory knowledge, in particular of Indian regulatory requirements, and an overall understanding of the business impact of the regulatory environment.Excellent market exposure and multi-disciplined private banking expertiseExperience of managing and developing both senior and junior private bankersAcademic and professional qualificationsEducated to Degree levelAppropriate regulatory qualificationsLanguage skillsFluent in English and HindiFluency in other Indian languages an advantage (regionally-specific)Personal attributesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsEntrepreneurial spirit but also with a collegiate approachEmbraces challenge and an evolving/changing environmentRapidly assimilates new information and applies this knowledge as appropriate,
