Job Description

    Leading Chemical CompanyDesignation -Process Engineering Manager Navi Mumbai- KoperkhaineDesirables: B.E Chemical from IITs, NITs or BITS Pilani / ICT/ = MUSTExp- 6+years experiencein Process Engineering= MUSTIndustry- Chemicals / Petro Chemical/ Pharma = MUSTCTC- 30LPATo apply broad technical knowledge and ensure quality consistency in manufacturing processes of the site. To plan new product and process trials and provide necessary process engineering inputs for scaling up of lab process to plant scale in consultation with the concerned Research Manager and the Process Engineering Manager. Responsible for Process Safety & Hazard studies and implementing effective solution for process safety. Strong knowledge and working experience in Chemical Process Hazards, Process Safety, PHA, HAZOP, QRA, BLEVE study, SIL/SIF study, Relief study for relief valves / bursting discs, Emergency shutdown philosophy (ESD), On-site Emergency Response Plan etc. Good knowledge of various engineering design and sizing calculations, like Process Equipment, Pressure Vessels, Heat exchangers, Pumps, Pump-NPHS, Control Valve Sizing, PRV Sizing, Heat & Mass Balance, Rupture Discs, Flame Arrestors, Breather Valves. To identify and improve processes within department, in line with the system for process improvements and optimization from laboratory experiments to full scale production trials. To plan, identify bottlenecks, undertake investigation and advise on possible resolutions of the same. To regularly communicate and liaise with other departments on site to minimize the amount of non-conforming material. Decisions like development of Process Design packages for capital projects are taken under regular supervision. To manage SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) performance to meet site and specific laboratory requirements. To provide process engineering support to R&D and the plant on quality, capacity and SHE improvement issues. To implement actions regarding energy improvement plan and monitor progress. Awareness on Heat Integration, UN Sustainability initiative-Scope 1 & Scope 2, Advance technology in Process industry etc. Should be well versed with Maharashtra factory act & other occupational safety requirement for process industry.
