Job Description

Product Architect Description As a Connected Commerce Product Architect, you will define and maintain the reference Architecture for Connected Commerce applications and/or maintain the target models and assess the impact of the future business initiatives on existing and future applications architecture. You will also capture the requirements for future application architecture changes and identify the techniques and technologies that should be applied at the application level; help define the system and operational requirements that the computing infrastructure must support; and identify, analyze and address any inter-application dependencies and interfaces. You will work with the other Architects across several Lines of Business to determine the most appropriate system partitioning to achieve a solid design that incorporates business functional / non-functional requirements in a way that provides best in class performance, scalability and future flexibility. You will participate in business and technology planning sessions and anticipate future business/technology changes. Work with Business and Information Architects to review business drivers, needs and strategies and understand implications to the application architecture. Communicate implications of architectural decisions, issues and plans to business and technology leadership. Provide support/guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development and testing processes; provide expert knowledge of application architecture and consult to Business and Technology teams when detailed application architecture knowledge is needed, and identify/mitigate risks to delivering solution on time. Responsibilities
• Define, document and deliver current state, target states and initiative based Architectures for Connected Commerce and other efforts.
• Work across all corporate technology and line-of-business technology teams to design and socialize solutions.
• Participate in the Digital and cross line-of-business Architecture governance and tollgate processes.
• Provide subject matter expertise to multiple cross Line-of-Business forums, panels, technologies and senior business/IT management.
• Work with application development teams to estimate the cost of a proposed solution.
• Be aware of industry trends and leverage new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
• Challenge designs during the concept and review phases to drive toward re-use, efficiency, security and stability.
• Define and/or participate in supporting any changes to existing/new architectural processes.
Qualifications
• Minimum five years of Product Architecture experience technology implementation experience a plus
• Extensive working knowledge and experience in debit/credit cards and financial industry
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor team members and other development resources.
• Development background with a minimum of three years of work experience in the following areas: Application technology, Middleware technology, Object Oriented technologies, database and Internet technologies.
• Expert-Level Analytical skills in architecture methods and design concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence decision making in a federated, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Skilled at bringing about clarity in a complex environment and/ or ambiguous situation.
• Understanding of relevant technologies and development life cycles including Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong business and product knowledge.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• AWS Certification preferred.
