Job Description

Product Specialist

Calypso Technology is seeking a Product Specialist with experience in specifically Market Risk, Clearing Risk and Margin to contribute in the global expansion of our cross-asset front to back solution. This is a tremendous opportunity for a candidate with experience in Market Risk and Analytics in developing Calypso s Clearing Risk and Margin offering. The ideal candidate will have very strong background in finance and market risk. The successful candidate will be a dynamic self-starter with excellent communications skills, and be able to thrive in a challenging and high pressure environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future direction of the Calypso Risk solution. This role based in San Francisco but offers the opportunity for travel due to the Global nature of Calypso and its client base.

Responsibilities:

  • Detailed Functional Analysis of Client and Market Requirements
  • Writing margin replication specification for Initial Margin and clearing risk functionalities, including ISDA SIMM, EUREX PRISMA, and other industry margin methodologies
  • Working closely with clients to agree on Business Requirement Documents
  • Working very closely with the Calypso Engineers to design the correct solutions
  • Working closely with the Calypso Quality Assurance team to develop test cases
  • Carrying out functional testing of developed solutions
  • Advocating for new product feature enhancements
  • Presenting and demonstrating solutions to Clients
  • Carrying out Internal documentation and training

Skills Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of professional experience.
  • B.S/Master in Business/Finance or Technical field.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills combined with business acumen.
  • Understanding of Market Risk and Enterprise Risk (VaR, Initial Margin)
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator
  • Good oral and written communication skills are essential
