Forecast Execution Mumbai FP&A Tools Lead (C14) Citi Global FP&A is a high-caliber team working in close partnership with the CFO and other members of executive management to analyze and present financial results and develop strategies to address high-priority initiatives. Corporate FP&A has the unique position of seeing a holistic and strategic view of the firm and the industry, both internally as well as externally through collaboration in earnings and investor communications.Forecast Execution team has been established by Global FP&A head and Capital Planning head to provide oversight over execution of CCAR/DFAST, Quarterly Multi-Year Multi-Scenario Forecasting (QMMF) and Operating Plan. The team is also responsible to ensure delivery of all PPNR workstream deliverables including forecast analysis, governance and controls requirements. The Forecast Execution team will also drive target state process design for Citi s planning processes working closely with FP&A, Treasury / Capital Planning, Risk, Tax and business teamsThis role of Forecast Execution Mumbai FP&A Tools Lead is responsible for coordinating FP&A aggregation and forecasting tools readiness and set up for use during QMMF, CCAR and Operating Plan processes. This role will work closely with PPNR workstream team leads, Process Management and Oversight & Governance team and Process design and FP&A stakeholders in New York, Mumbai and other locations to drive ongoing issue resolution during these forecasting processes. This role will own the FP&A forecast aggregation tools and partner with FRSS Operations team to ensure that the tools are set up and ready for forecasting processes. This role will also coordinate with GFT and forecasting teams to ensure appropriate enhancements to the tools are implemented after appropriate testing. The role will also partner with the Tools and Process workgroup established within FP&A to understand feedback from the users of the forecasting tools and address them partnering with Technology teams.This role will partner with the other Forecast Execution teams to support calendar and process management for Operating Plan across the entire process and for outlook. This role requires interactions with FP&A and Capital Planning teams and potentially Finance and Risk forecasting workstreams. The lead will also work closely with the Process design team to ensure effective design and smooth execution.This is a very important role for Forecast Execution, FP&A and Citi, as the individual in charge will impact smooth set up and execution of critical processes that will have strategic implications both internally and externally. Ideal candidates have an in-depth knowledge and experience in business planning and/or capital planning, knowledge of Citi data structure, forecasting and reporting tools and experience in problem solving in time sensitive challenging situations. Role Outline / Job Profile:
• Lead Forecast Execution Mumbai FP&A tools team to ensure readiness of forecasting systems, aggregation platforms and reporting tools and manage issues that come up during cycle and resolve them promptly
• Coordinate prioritization of system enhancements for FP&A aggregation and reporting tools in line with Forecast Execution and process requirements
• Partner with FRSS, GFT and Business FP&A teams to coordinate UAT and go-live for ongoing tool enhancements
• Partner with process design and execution team to articulate and communicate requirements for QMMF cycle/ process
• Partner with FP&A Analytical center Tools and Process workgroup to create SME pool to perform UAT and drive training session across Analytical Centers
• Partner with other Planning workstreams (Data, Infrastructure, Models, Governance, Reporting & Analytics, etc.) to align efforts and program milestones required to achieve process transformation objectives
• Coordinate with GFT and infrastructure transformation (UI/ workflow, reporting and analytics) and process design teams to drive process efficiencies and improve end user experience as much as possible
• Provide input into the creation and execution of forecasting calendar during QMMF, CCAR and Operating Plan
• Partner with the other Forecast Execution teams to support calendar and process management for Operating Plan across the entire process
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
• MBA / undergraduate degree in Technology / Engineering with at least 12 years of experience with exposure to FP&A
• Understanding and knowledge of Citi Finance s data structure, tools and processes including Citi Forecasting processes and tools and reporting systems, preferred
• Experience in partnering with business and technology teams to drive roll out of tool enhancements in an effective manner
• Develop strategic vision for utilizing tools to improve forecast execution including developing tool performance dashboards to track relevant performance metrics
• Ability to work with stakeholders at different levels (ranging from FP&A heads to middle management) and resolve contentious items expeditiously in a tactful manner
• Partner with Digital Transformation teams to incorporate and integrate digital tools into the forecasting processes
• Tenacity, with the flexibility and ability to work under changing circumstances
• Highly motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage and assess tool related issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques; structure potential solutions; drive to resolution with senior stakeholders as required
