Job Description

    Job Title Wholesale Credit Risk Central Counterparty Credit Risk & Strategy Team Analyst Posting description: Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) is responsible for the on-boarding and ongoing credit risk management of J.P. Morgan s Corporate & Investment Bank ( CIB ) clients. The Global Central Counterparty (CCP) Credit Risk & Strategy Team (CRT) manages the risks emanating from the CCP credit risk portfolio, which are some of the largest credit exposures as a result of mandatory clearing. The team partners closely with business units across Global Markets and Sales, Wholesale Payments, Securities Services, and Investment & Corporate Banking. The team liaises with external constituents to advocate for and address Central Counterparty risk concerns and related regulatory matters. In addition, CRT helps to ensure consistent JPM communication on Central Counterparty risks globally. Wholesale Credit Risk is recruiting an Analyst to manage a portfolio of Central Counterparty in APAC. Job Responsibilities
    • Developing an in-depth understanding of Central Counterparty risks in order to perform Central Counterparty credit due diligence and financial analysis and summarize in written credit approval memos and reviews
    • Managing portfolio of Central Counterparty on an ongoing basis with ability to:
      • Evaluate Central Counterparty rules/procedures as part of onboarding of Central Counterparty. Pro-actively monitor quarterly financials and risk related developments at Central Counterparty highlighting changes and following up to understand impact
      • Support discussions to seek changes addressing risk concerns by tracking issues, preparing meeting agendas and circulating minutes. Assess creditworthiness of and assign credit ratings to Central Counterparty and their parent entities
      • Review trading activity, including recommending credit enhancements and appropriate structures and provide inputs into legal negotiation of credit agreements . Monitor exposures/ limits
    • Participating in transactions and facilitate approval of credit facilities. Contributing to team-wide efforts such as updating internal documents, coordinating and leading internal meetings, maintaining portfolio-wide benchmarking and infrastructure tasks. Assisting team to facilitate completion of Central Counterparty risk related team-wide projects including presentations and time sensitive requests
    Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills
    • 2+ years of work experience in financial services preferably in credit and/ or market risk management
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, close attention to detail and enthusiastic about client interaction
    • Strong initiative with ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
    • Excellent MS Office skills
    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • Knowledge of Central Counterparty, clearing business activities and derivatives products a plus
