Designation Sr. Material Engineer - - (Purchase)Location MumbaiResponsibility 1. To be responsible for the technical evaluation and appraisal of various materials used at RUPL Project sites.2. To ensure implementation of relevant IS codes for product evaluation including factory visits for better technical adaptability of products.3. To carry out Market survey and introduction/ recommendation of new materials & identify availability of quality product for all Projects.4. To Carryout inspection and test of materials selected / to be selected as and when required5. To visit site for quality audit and quality assurance of building construction activities in compliance with applicable codes and / or specifications for all the civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing etc. with safety norms and regulations, on site quality assessment of construction materials, technical audit and compliance report preparation.6. To Prepare reports & quality records in compliance with procedures for all materials 7. To study, evaluate and if found in order bring in newly developed/ latest quality improvement programs / methods in construction industry for upgrading of quality standards of materials and usage specs.8. To ensure compliance of Quality Standards as per ISO standards.9. To coordinate with Project team for testing and approving new materials.10. To visit the sites on a random, surprise basis to overview quality of the delivered materials, storing, handling and placing practices.11. To maintain a good supply chain for materials and alternative products.12. To Issue purchase order / authorize the bills/ Release bills in SAP on timely basis for payment.13. To carry out other tasks as assigned by the management from time to time.14. To prepare Technical MIS on monthly basis for all products / activities.Reporting to HOD - PurchaseCoordination with Team Members within the Department and all project sites and concerned HODsPeople reporting to this position Work load based.Qualifications & Experience B.E (Civil)With 8- 10 years of experience & exposure in quality of products and workmanshipPref with 2 years of site executionKnowledge & Skills High familiarity of QC standards, procedures & applicable codes is essential.Demonstrate expertise in construction materials, finishing materials, methods, equipment, estimating, or construction surveying. Should be capable of selecting or providing alternate materials within the budgetShould have experience in Material Procurement, Inventory Management, Store Functions, Store & inventory management, Cost Control etcGood interpersonal skillsEfficient working/ work planning/ cost analysis of materials / day to day touch with markets.Ability to communicate (Written & verbal) is a MUST.Must be Computer Savvy.Designation & Compensation () 1.
