Research Analyst- EquityWe have been retained by our client, a well- established, professionally managed asset management company, to identify a Research Analyst- Equity to be based at Mumbai.JOB PURPOSE : To lead the investment research function, as comprehensive and detailed research is the most important factor that supports a good investment decision.To ensure that new research ideas are generated that can meaningfully contribute to the companies fund performance.Develop and execute long term strategic and annual tactical plans to meet the fund objectives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Track the macro economic scenario and market factors such as liquidity, valuation as input for formulating investment strategies.Thorough & in- depth research, develop research ideas and communicate the same to clients.Generate new ideas / themes as input for the equity investment team.Develop and write research reports and publications to be presented to management or shareholders.Convene and maintain minutes of the monthly equity investment committee meeting for discussing risk reports, sector view etc. Co- ordinate with the product team to convey the views of equity investment team on sectors and equity market.Analyse and synthesise research finding to develop valuable insights and strategic recommendations for the clients.Ensure compliance of all SEBI requirements.Design and create error free, client ready presentations in a timely manner.Regularly interact with the sales team members of the company to recommend stock ideas to clients.Initiate coverage, result updates, company sector developments, management meeting notes, essential to the work.Interact with clients, analysts, fund managers, etc.Analyse quantitative and qualitative aspects and ultimately support to fund manager from varying degrees to make informed decisions.DESIRED SKILLS : Ability to communicate effectively and express complex ideas succinctly.Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.Ability to work under pressure.Strong analytical and reasoning skills.Attention to detail and diligence.Strong writing and presentation skills.High level of initiative and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team.
