Meritocratic and diverse cultureBackground on the PositionThe role will reside within the Regulatory Risk Function that sits in Firm Risk Managements (FRM) COO function. The Regulatory Risk Function is at the nexus of risk stripes globally and has several responsibilities including:1. Managing regulatory exams2. Administration of the Risk Governance Framework for US Swap Dealers3. Oversight of ad-hoc regulatory projects4. Oversight of the development of FRM policies, procedures and governance framework5. Tracking and reporting progress of regulatory deliverables6. Oversight of the rule self-assessment processThe ideal candidate will have broad experience in senior audience communication, stakeholder management, and project management. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth, providing exposure to all areas within FRM.Primary ResponsibilitiesServe as key contact for FRM QA reviews which include:1. conduct and support the QA assessment for Risk COO processes2. coordinate, review and challenge QA assessment completed by other Risk Function3. support the central reporting of QA assessment outcome to senior managementProvide support on ad hoc risk management governance projects, including partnering with stakeholders across the department on new Risk COO initiativesDevelop solutions to enhance FRMs risk governance processes and enforce FRM governance standards in various areas such as committees, documentation and decision making processesCoordinate and prepare presentation materials for key stakeholders regarding FRM risk governance for various senior management committees and forums, *Member of the FRM Central Policy Office, providing centralized oversight of all FRM policies and procedures, key responsibilities include:1. review and update of FRM documentation2. develop the monthly reports on FRMs policies and procedures3. coordinate cross-FRM updates to documentation4. maintain regular communication with FRMs policy teams5. coordinate updates to the Global Risk Management Principles, a cross-risk Board approved documentQualifications - InternalSkills Required (Essential)1. Bachelors degree required2. Exceptional written and verbal communicator3. Detail-oriented and organized4. Strong relationship builder5. Ability to think both strategically and tactically6. Financial services background not essential7. Project management across broad constituencies8. Exceptional problem solver possessing solid analytical abilities9. Effective multi-tasker who can deliver under tight deadlines10. Familiar with financial services industry governance standards/ guidance11. Proficient in MS Office and related applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
