Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The SME for Scores International must cultivate and maintain effective working and trusted advisor relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including partners, distribution channels, financial institutions, regulators and other public entities.
  • The SME develops business cases, proposes business terms, and recommends business arrangements and courses of action.
  • Works with partners, distributors and sales organizations from initial prospect/proposal phase to successful closure, including contract review.
  • Identifies target clients and new markets for solutions, key buying criteria, buyer personas, etc. to guide sales activity.
  • Develops industry strategy and revenue targets by client and product/solution offering for the global financial services market to drive marketing. Creates plans that details total addressable market, current market penetration and growth opportunities for existing and future solutions.
  • Creates strategic content for, and performs strategic reviews of solution overviews and sales presentations; creates and improves solution presentations; reviews as requested by product management, demonstration scripts and data; reviews and critiques product training to other FICO employees; gathers and analyzes customer business feedback; and recommends features for new releases; creates executive presentations and assists in the creation of competitive differentiation sales strategies, supporting materials and tools.
  • The SME works with Product Management to oversee the development, testing, and implementation of the solution, and participates in the validation confirmation, ensuring the final product satisfies the defined requirements. They review client deliverables or consulting assignment documentation, such as executive presentations, analysis results, training materials, and system specifications, prior to distribution to end-users, and ensures the results are accurately represented.
  • The SME may supervise other SMEs, leading multi-national efforts and providing oversight and assistance in the execution of their SME duties and responsibilities across multiple national markets.
  • The SME is highly articulate, excellent at communicating relevant information effectively to diverse audiences and is a trusted advisor to industry influencers and leaders. The nature of the position involves actively participating in multiple international work-groups at one time and disseminating appropriate information across key organizations.
Qualifications:
  • Individuals who have worked in a global, highly matrixed business environment are especially effective in this position.
  • Undergraduate degree required. Studies in Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent and an advanced degree in Law or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategy development, strategic and partner management in multiple national markets. Private and public sector experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience selling analytic solutions in multiple national markets to the financial services industry using a consultative sales approach.
  • Seven+ years of experience in core credit risk management including the deployment of analytics and scores to make credit decisions. Demonstrated experience with credit decisioning infrastructure and platforms. Prior credit management experience in microfinance, small business lending, or agricultural lending in Africa, the Middle East or Asia.
  • Advanced knowledge of credit bureau repository data practices and experience working with non-repository data sets to create solutions for the financial services industry. Prior credit bureau employment experience preferred.
  • Highly articulate, excellent at communicating relevant information effectively to diverse audiences. Effective at translating subject matter terminology into business terms, and recommending a course of action. Culturally sensitive.
  • Willing to travel and work under diverse environmental conditions.
