IntroductionAs a Service Delivery Specialist, you are the face of IBM for our customers. Your clients success depends on your ability to understand their needs and respond to requests for new services. This role is an integral part of both account planning and delivering support strategies, working to proactively monitor problems, change processes, and handle issues to ensure our customers success.Your Role and Responsibilities Network security consultant provides network security systems administration support to users for Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls. Assists and/or leads the development of architecture blueprints, design specifications, migration plans and operational best practices guidelines based on detailed requirements gathered onsite. Responsibilities & Duties:
• Configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure, working with Checkpoint firewall
• Manage the firewall deployment, rules migrations, and firewall administration.
• Responsible for converting existing rule base onto new platforms and finetuning.
• In depth knowledge and certifications on Checkpoint CCSE (required) and Palo Alto (desired).
• Thoroughly familiar with Checkpoint models, capabilities, and architectures.
• Fully versed in the syntax of security platforms, and rule verification.

• Insure that notification is sent to all Stakeholders for required changes/upgrades
• Represent the changes at the weekly change review meetings and update network diagrams and all other applicable documents.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Desirable 2-6 years of work experience information security
• Hands on experience with network protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc).
• Experience securing a large inter network establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access.
• Experience in managing site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
• Experience in resolving network connectivity failures.
• Must have good understanding of networking at all layers of the OSI model.
• Must be comfortable in reading packet captures (Wireshark/pcap).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success in managing, analysing and solving complex network issues.
• Core Checkpoint skills
• Using knowledge of Security Gateway infrastructure, including chain modules, packet flow and kernel tables to describe how to perform debugs on firewall processes.
• Check Point Firewall Infrastructure
• User and kernel mode processes Core Process, FWM, FWD, CPWD, inbound and Outbound packet flow, inbound FW CTL Chain Modules, outbound Chain Modules, Columns in a Chain, Stateful Inspection.

• Policy Installation Flow
• Policy Installation Process
• Policy Installation Process Flow
• Build, test and troubleshoot a ClusterXL Load Sharing deployment on an enterprise network.
• Build, test and troubleshoot a ClusterXL High Availability deployment on an enterprise network.
• Build, test and troubleshoot a management HA deployment on an enterprise network.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SecureXL and CoreXL acceleration solutions on the corporate network traffic to ensure noted performance enhancement on the firewall.
• VPN debugging, Troubleshooting.
• Auditing and reporting
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Act as a team player and/or work independently.
• Demonstration of interest in Information Security and Information Risk management
• Exposure in Govt. Sector will be an advantage.
• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Network / Telecommunications Engineer B.Tech., B.E, MCA, M.Sc. IT.(Mandatory either of these)
• Professional Qualifications CCSA, CCSE
