The Application Support Senior Analyst is responsible for the application support of Travelex s applications. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure SLA s are met by resolving incidents and work requests within agreed time scales, performing root cause analysis of faults and pro-actively identifying issues within the application code by monitoring application logs.Investigation and resolution of Incidents within agreed SLA sOwnership and coordination of issue resolution across multiple teams such as third party package vendors, Travelex in-house development teams and Travelex infrastructure teamsMaintaining the support knowledge base of standard fixes / issue remediation work instructionsContinuous improvement of Travelex application support standards and processesProactive Problem Management, analysing support metrics and identifying root causesExperience and personal qualitiesRelationship managementIdentify, recognise and acknowledge IT management and stakeholdersEstablish communication channel with relevant stakeholdersCommunicationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent listening and interpersonal skillsLogical thinking with a high focus on attention to detailAbility to conduct research into systems issues and products as requiredAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languageAbility to work effectively with individuals in remote locationsEssentialMinimum 3-4 years experience in production application supportExpert understanding of programming with stored proceduresExpert understanding of databases, data models, triggersExpert in troubleshooting large integrated systems and databasesExpert with transaction handling strategiesExpert understanding and application of persistence strategiesExperience of Java, Web services, Apache/tomcat SQL ServerExperience of working in Production Services teamExperience with IT operational aspects of software development including build management and software configuration managementExperience in knowledge and hands-on experience with open source technologies and emerging technologiesExperience in problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure to deliver to deadlines while managing multiple prioritiesTeam player who is willing to work outside immediate team to deliver organisational goalsWorking knowledge of software configuration management, schema management and deployment strategiesShould be ready to work in shifts (24x7 setup),
