Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to effectively test the product suites byimplementing the testing methodology basics. To fulfill this role, thecandidate must demonstrate an aptitude for quickly grasping new concepts,an ability to clearly express findings and issues both in verbal and writtencommunication and be able to execute according to test plans provided byTest Lead. The role of the tester will be to create and execute test scripts asdefined or help in definition; and provide documented evidence regardingtest results. At the same time, understand the product set working closelywith the development groups.Qualification Criteria/Work ExperienceEssential:Strong experience of working within an IT environment At least 4 years solid experience in all aspects of functional and non-functional testing. ISTQB/ ISEB qualified or equivalent in software testing advantageous Practical experience of using formal Waterfall/ V-Model and Agiletesting methods Sound understanding and experience of software developmentlifecycle. Good attention to detail and documentation of testing and results Has solid knowledge of any database e.g. SQL/ Oracle. Should have strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle Understanding and experience of Defect Management Cycle. Expert in test cases writing/execution skills as per the testingtechniques, test types (+ve & - ve) applicable in context of theproject. Should have working experience of any Test Management Tool like HPALM, QC, Test Link, Test Director, VSTS etc Should have working experience of any Defect Management Tool likeBugzilla, Jira, QC, Clear Quest, Mingle etc. Should have basic knowledge of Automation or performance testingtools.Able to perform/Conduct RCA process. Worked in On-shore Off-shore model. Practical experience of building test environment. Fluent English speaking and excellent communication skills.Desirable:Experience of testing systems built using the following technologies:o Java/.Neto Databaseo Browser based applicationso IIS Web servero JavaScripto Automation test skill set required o Automation Testing (Selenium with C#)o Visual studioo BDD framework, Module Based frameworko Reports: Allureo Cucumber Tool using Gherkin Demonstrable ability to grasp the relevant software applications to ahigh level to perform the role. Pro-active and systematic approach to problem resolution and inter-team communication Ability to communicate both technical and non-technical information. Ability to mentor juniors and create Knowledge Transfer documents.,
