Job Description

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of web architectures, technologies, and current developments
  • Minimum five years experience in the IT sector
  • Sound grasp of programming fundamentals and techniques
  • Windows and Linux server administration
  • Apache and Tomcat administration
  • Server-side scripting (PHP primarily)
  • Client-side scripting (JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery)
  • Familiarity with building basic SQL queries
  • Python
Advantageous Technical Skills:
  • Standards compliant XHTML and CSS
  • Good grounding in Java
  • Experience of version control systems (central and distributed such as subversion and Git)
Other required skills:
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including written documentation and interacting with clients when required
  • Ability to train, mentor and direct other team members where appropriate
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
