Job Description

Description

  • As Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager-Application Robotics you will be responsible to focus on feasibility study, evaluation, programming and future development of the Omron Robots and its applications across industries. To provide the onsite technical troubleshooting support, training, road shows, Proof of Concept to the customers & leverage Omron strength.
  • To conduct in-detailed application study with customers to understand their automation needs and execute the right automation solution using robots and other /products.
  • To continuously review and analysis robotics trends to develop advanced robotics solutions vis- -vis Omron product basket.
  • To program and demonstrate proof-of-concept (POC) for robotics solutions.
  • To take complete ownership of the projects and keep track of the application project blue prints, responsible for efficient project management.
  • To execute the troubleshooting (mechanical & Electrical) for robotic application issues and maintain the documentation of troubleshooting procedures.
  • To continuous participation in the Robotics application projects and contribution to improve features of Omron s robotics products.
  • Provide technical support (hardware & Software) to the customers to understand the problems/issues in the application and share the feedback with company engineers.
  • To conduct OJT (On the Job Training) for internal and external stakeholders and maintain the training records.
  • To conduct and manage end-to-end product demo- presentation, trials, road shows, trade shows.
  • To coordination with internal departments of Omron to ensure the project application is executed within TAT and positioned effectively.
  • Timely submission of monthly reports, success stories.
  • To explore Robotics product s features / functions and deploy the technical notes across the team members.
  • Study and develop industry-wide gripper library for Omron.
, RequirementsExperience
  • B.E. Degree OR equivalent diploma ( specialization in Mechatronics will be an added advantage) with Minimum of 8+ years of experience of Robot application programming with Robot Operating System ( ROS).
Core Functional Knowledge
  • product knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, Vision, sensors products.
  • Programming knowledge of SCARA, Delta ( parallel), Articulated robots ( 6 axis) and Mobile robot.
  • Knowledge of C#, .NET, Solidwork.
  • Knowledge Industrial Networking and communications like Device Net, Modbus, Profi-bus, Profi-net, E-CAT
Others
  • Able to Prepare configuration ,BOM ,Programming , Installation Commissioning of Robotics solutions.
  • Good Communication & Presentation skills with an eye for detail.
