Job Description

This role is a Senior IT Asset Specialist role within the Global EUC & ITAM team.The Senior IT Asset Specialist will be responsible of managing the IT Asset Management framework for Travelex. The framework will assist to enable the day to day operational processes of asset management for all IT hardware, software, services vendors.Acts as the conduit between IT functions, translating the requirements, policy adherence into a controlled asset management function. Works with stakeholders to help them understand requirements, makes priority calls. Use your technical skills to close the communication gap between IT and the rest of the world

  • Adhere and enforce the asset management processes and procedures for Travelex
  • Adhere and enforce the vendor management processes and procedures for Travelex
  • Administer asset management adherence by all users in Travelex
  • Serve as IT Asset subject matter experts
  • Enable and use tools to enable automation for the complete asset management process (procurement, utilisation, tracking, security and asset disposal)
  • Enable frequent review lifecycles of Travelex estate (hardware, software, licence adherence)
  • Enable forecast for budgetary purposes
  • Develop recommendations or cost-saving strategies to the license and asset management process
  • Understand and conduct a continuous review of current consumer technologies: what they are, how they work, why they might have a relevancy to the business and our customers
  • Work with Security and deliver each initiative in line with security standards
  • Management of IT tools and technology remaining cost conscious and drive innovation, automation and efficiency for all technology
  • Carry out risk assessments against new and existing technology being sure to report and act upon any weaknesses that are discovered
  • Work with wider IT team to ensure hardware/software are covered with relevant licences to disable shadow-IT
  • Assess new hardware, technologies and vendors, providing guidance to steer purchasing strategy
  • Build equivalent relationship with key managers and leaders in IT
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Asset Management
  • Familiarity with Contract and Licensing Agreements within IT Asset management for large enterprise
  • Communicates regularly with peers and management
  • Goal oriented to reach target and have capacity to create, maintain and present document and statistics
  • Lead by example and inspire others through an approach based on high-standards
  • An aptitude to tackle and own a challenge through to its conclusion
  • Advanced analytical and structured problem-solving abilities with inquisitive approach to work
