Job Description

The FM eTrading system developments team is a specialist team responsible for the design and development of proprietary set of systems that will differentiate the bank in its core markets. eTrading systems are aimed at numerous customer markets including external customers via the internet, sophisticated customers via API/point-to-point connectivity, internal users trading on behalf of customers around the globe and finally connectivity into multi-dealer platforms. Key Responsibilities To join the Standard Chartered Bank eTrading Solutions Delivery team, responsible for software development & support using various tools & frameworks.Our Ideal Candidate Candidate Requirements Educational Level
    • Master or bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or related fields
    • Business English (verbal and written)
    Experience/Background
    • Proven data project experience in application delivery.
    • Proven experience in complex big data development across to multiple data source integration.
    • Proven ability to drive innovative data engineering practices and architecture design.
    • Proven ability to influence others for a common goal in a large organization.
    • 10+ years in defining and implementing technology solutions.
    • Good understanding of the Financial products in the FX.
    Personal Attributes
    • Must have strong sense of responsibility/ownership
    • High learning aptitude, able to learn new products and technology very quickly
    • Must be an effective communicator with business English literacy, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills
    • A team player who enjoys working with people on all levels as well as being able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
    Technical skills
    • Outstanding programming skills in Core Java with at least 10 years experiences.
    • Strong experience with Micro-services based architecture using Restful API.
    • Experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
    • Familiar with API gateways e.g. nginx.
    • Familiar with distributed cache e.g. hazelcast.
    • Experience on messaging service middleware like ActiveMQ, Solace.
    • AWS cloud experience.
    • Experience with Oracle SQL, Git, Maven, Eclipse.
    • Domain experience in FX trade capture.
    Beneficial skills
    • Experience with Google Guice, sparkjava.
    • Kafka, solace / solace vmr
    • Kdb
    • FX project experiences
    Soft skills:
    • Candidate must own initiative to work actively instead of waiting for task assignment.
    • Ability to work under pressure with multiple assignments
    • Outstanding problem-solving skills and good team spirit.
    ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
    • Ability to design and develop application appropriate to meet the operational and business/functional requirements defined, and at the same time enforce Advanced
    • Good knowledge of big data development techniques and environments include but not limited to Java programming. Advanced
    • Full software development lifecycle experience in a mature CI/CD environment & industry design and programming principles Advanced
    • Effective communicator with business English literacy, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills Advanced
