Local Hire onlyWhat You Will DoThe selected candidate will be a part of the Worley s Database Management team as an Oracle / MSSQL Database Administrator. This position will support multiple database systems, perform patching and upgrades, and other Database Administrator (DBA) and application server functions as needed.This position requires an experienced professional with a full understanding of specialized IT field plus working knowledge of other related IT fields. This position is for the fully qualified, career-oriented, IT professional.The selected candidate will be able to:

  • Design, model, configure, test and install Oracle 11g and 12c databases and MSSQL independently
  • Provide support services for database creation, performance, monitoring, tuning and capacity planning
  • Upgrade and patch Oracle 11g and 12c databases and MSSQL instances independently
  • Design and build physical data structures
  • Recommend, develop and enforce policies and procedures for maintaining the security and integrity of Oracle and MSSQL databases
  • Ensure the database meets availability and disaster recovery requirements
  • Configure backup / restore utilities and develop disaster recovery policies and procedures
  • Plan, design and maintain Oracle 11g and 12c environments and MSSQL environments
  • Provide 24x7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members
  • Provide technical leadership
  • Provide project leadership
  • May provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced Database Administrators
, *What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements:
  • Solid experience in the design, maintenance and administration of relational databases
  • Extensive experience tuning Oracle 11g/12c databases and MSSQL instances
  • Experience with backup & recovery strategies using RMAN
  • Experience in refreshing databases across similar and dissimilar hardware
  • Experience in recovering a database/table/tablespace
  • Scripting abilities with Power Shell
  • Demonstrated experience with problem diagnosis and resolution
  • Effective interpersonal communications and team player
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Demonstrated experience in providing full lifecycle support for Oracle databases and MSSQL instances
  • Experience with large scale database design/architecture
  • Strong performance tuning of Oracle Databases and tuning application SQL as well as MSSQL
  • Experience with Oracle Transparent Data Encryption a plus
  • Oracle certification a plus
