Job Description

    Job Title: Server and Storage Administrator - Financial Services - MumbaiPurpose of Job:Responsible for managing and maintaining computer servers in an organizations data center and the Cloud environment. Their duties include installing and configuring hardware and software, monitoring server performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security measures to protect against unauthorized access or data breaches. They also ensure the availability of server applications, audit server security, and develop and refine processes for ongoing management of servers. Additionally, they may manage both servers and networks to ensure their smooth functioning. Other duties may include assigning and maintaining user access, responding to employee concerns relating to IT, and writing policy documents and training materials for employeesJob Responsibilities:Very good knowledge of Windows Server 2022/2019/2012, GPO and ACL Good knowledge of VMware infrastructure Designed and deployed a virtual domain network for use as a development environment that includes a domain controller, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and a Microsoft Exchange server Deep knowledge of Wintel platforms, and Networking Infrastructure (Workgroup, Domain, PDC/BDC,, DNS, WINS, DHCP) Strong knowledge of Remote server administration Strong knowledge of installing, configuring, tuning, maintaining, and monitoring Windows Server 2012/2019/2022 Enterprise server Expert Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, AD Trust, Group Policy, Shell Scripting concepts, practices, and procedures Strong implementation knowledge of Hyper-V and SCCM Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end Users Manage & Monitor backup jobs across multiple platforms Maintain all equipment for backup environment to include servers disk and tape storage devices Ethernet, Wireless, and TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting NetBackup 7.6 (or newer versions) administration in a Storage Area Network (SAN) environment NetBackup application backup/restore utilities and scripting (GUI & CLI) Expertise with the design, configuration, and administration, tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting for NFS/CIFS protocol on NetApp and EMC Isilon storage arrays Understand and troubleshoot the SMB, NFS and CIFS shares networking protocols Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning and upgrade Network Attached Storage (NAS) environment Nutanix Hyper Converged Infrastructure Administration - Strong knowledge in Infra components and its functionality Hands-on experience in Nutanix cluster management and troubleshooting. Responsible in software upgrade (AOS, NCC) VMware Administration - VMware vSphere 6.5 and 7.0 Administration skilled to handle operational activities. Strong Server hardware knowledge (Configuration and Management ) Good knowledge of Windows PowerShell scripting, SCCM, WSUS Someone capable of responding to a fast-paced environment and able to work long days and hours Good knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi and vCenter) Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and technical documentation skills Work together with LAN/WAN teams to troubleshoot network related issues for Active Directory and Exchange using proven analytical and problem-solving skills Experience - Experience with Quest Active Roles Organization skills to coordinate activities in all phases of the upgrade of applications
