Job Description The Securities Services Technology public cloud enablement team is responsible for accelerating application migrations to public cloud. We are looking for hands on infrastructure engineers with experience in automating everything from Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for AWS services, build and deployment pipelines, observability, resiliency patterns and chaos engineering. You will play a critical role in accelerating application modernization and public cloud adoption for numerous applications in Securities Services Technology.As a member of our SRE Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Youll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. You ll work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our customers globally.As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), youll help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems. Much of our support and software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and reducing work through automation. You ll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment you ll take the lead on relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and grow. As an SRE, you ll be focused on running better production applications and systems. Responsibilities:
    • Drive, support, and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazons utility computing web services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, AWS CloudFront, AWS EFS, CloudWatch, EKS)
    • Design resilient, secure, and high performing platforms in Public Cloud using JPMC best practices
    • Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions moving to public cloud
    • Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
    • Provide primary operational support and engineering for the public cloud platform
    • Debug and optimize systems and automate routine tasks.
    • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction.
    • Drive work streams to ensure Applications meet strict non-functional requirements for Public Cloud On-boarding
    • Drive Cost management through the effective design and optimization of public cloud platforms and technologies.
    • Develop automation tools for efficient, noiseless alerting, toil, and technical debt
    • Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
    • Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in an software engineering discipline
    • AWS Cloud developer or Architect certified
    • Minimum 3 years of hands on experience with deploying and monitoring application in AWS
    • Proficiency in at least one software language (e.g. Python, Java, Go, etc.).
    • Experience with automating CI/CD pipelines from commit to deployments in cloud infrastructure.
    • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
    • Experience/Knowledge of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
    • Capable of managing service-level changes to a system or service
    • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud deployment, monitoring, and ops analysis tools such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, Cloudwatch, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, DynaTrace, etc.
    • Experience with system performance monitoring and operational capacity management
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
