This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the respective Finance T&I CIO s, Project and Support teams, the Situation Specialist will be responsible for situation awareness and management across the Finance domain. In addition, the person is able to work on shift when required. Strategy & Business Operations

  • Scope & Impact Lead large, strategic, and complex area of multidimension Platform s, applications and help evolve systems towards it.
  • Technical Execution Provide deep knowledge in Peoplesoft GL, Dev Ops tools, Python, Shell scripts and automation. Experience in these applications is an added advantages.
  • Development and implementation of community engagement strategy consistent with the business strategy.
  • Effective monitoring and management of incidents community investment spending across the network and effective control of the Banks fund-raising activities.
  • Responsible to lead/participate in Agile team approach as part of SRE/PSS.
  • Spearhead the transformation and remediation activities within the Functions domains.
  • Lead through examples and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectation from their team and work in collaboration with other domain partners.
  • Managing high severity incident by using ITIL processes.
People and Talent
  • Functional Knowledge - Posses knowledge on Peoplesoft production such as General Ledger, Enrichment Layer, Fund Transfer Pricing, Liquidity application (Fermat, RAYCO).
  • Hands-on Coding Skills in server-side like DataStage-ETL, Shell scripts, ITRS, Control M, ELK, Prometheus, App dynamics, Java or other JVM-based language,
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
  • Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
  • Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
  • Application Production support responsibilities and stability as part of SRE/PSS.
  • Responsible for faster production incidents resumption, root cause identification, problem fixing
  • Responsible for identifying & delivering improvement opportunities such as, Manual task automations, Performance/Throughput improvements.
  • Responsible for identifying & implementing solutions to improve overall Tech operations efficiency, that should result in cost saves/avoidance.
  • Responsible to lead a team to ensure SLA/SLOs are met and SLIs are improved.
  • Act as a bridge between teams, interfaces teams and other key stakeholders. Assuming situation manager role during incidents and crisis.
  • Responsible for identifying gaps and improve monitoring process and utilise latest technology to enhance monitoring mechanism for Group Functions CnC.
  • Understand and responsible for problem management in CnC to prevent re-occurrence of incident
Finance Management
  • Work in collaboration with the CIO s to manage the cost base in-line with budget. Ensure risk and issues are quantified, escalated, and cost reduction opportunities realised
Vendor Management
  • Responsible to work with Vendor to help for faster production incidents resumption, root cause identification, problem fixing, identifying and improve monitoring process and to comply with the Vendor management policies and practices in the Bank.
Communications
  • Communicate critical incident progress, reports to respective levels within the Finance domain
  • Drive people engagement within the Finance domain, by:
    • Promoting success stories and achievements internally
Processes
  • Review various processes and work with respective stakeholders to enhance processes
Risk Management
  • The ability to interpret and identify key risks issues in system and put in place appropriate controls and measures
  • Monitor all major risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to Risk Committees
Governance
  • Accountable to govern the adherence to tech policies and processes required to support applications in production environment.
  • Accountable to govern the adherence to tech policies and processes required for change of applications in production.
  • Accountable to govern the adherence to tech policies and processes required for incident and problem management.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or similar qualifications.
  • Years of Experience: A minimum of 12+ years of experience, with at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Nature of Experience: Experience in similar role at a Production Support / SRE which has multiple clients, multiple technology platforms and domain.
  • Candidate should have good command of English, able to handle Incident management and support infra servers i.e. Wintel and Unix boxes.
  • ITIL, AWS, Azure certification is an added advantage.
  • Candidate should have strong communication and briefing skills - oral, written and presentation.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, able to rapidly adapt to and adopt new ways of working and find value creation opportunities.
  • Ability to apply judgement on moderate to complex business problems
  • Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation s goal. Is confident and will roll-up his/her sleeves to drive success. Able to get things done in a fast-paced environment. Is transparent and open around what doesn t work and what does.
