Job Description

  • Build and maintain core system components as well as specific applied tools in C#, Microsoft SQL Server and Perl (on LINUX).
  • Develop strong relationships founded on trust, integrity & delivery with our partners in business, operations & technology.
  • Work with our global team members to achieve better solutions using good project management, efficient communication and SDLC discipline.
  • Build solutions with testability in mind for diverse user base and functions: clearly define expected results as the first step of any project. Code for review: Clearly organize your code and comment where necessary, to facilitate the peer review process
  • Provide BAU support for issues encountered in daily processing and queries from the business
Technical :
  • Proficient in Python programming and architecture
  • Extensive experience and recognized expertise in complex SQL on Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience in C# (WPF, WCF)
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language; Perl experience is particularly desirable
  • Good working experience on Windows and Linux/Unix environment.
  • Strong architecture experience, familiar with backend service oriented architecture.
  • Full development & project life cycle experience. Strong testing discipline, Experience of Source control & Change management systems.
Interpersonal :
  • Excellent analytical, logical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Must be able to consolidate information from various user groups, analyze the requirements and propose a pragmatic solution.
  • Superb organizational skills, decisive priority management, strong teamwork ethic, excellent verbal& written communication skills, ability to think locally & execute globally.
  • Quick-thinking, intelligent, pragmatic, with a love of problem-solving using technology and an ability to quickly translate requirements into sound technical designs and implementation.
Business Knowledge:
  • Experience of working in financial services especially Investment Banking or equivalent environment.
  • Good understanding of one or more asset classes Fixed Income products preferred, mortgage products is a plus.
  • Demonstrate understanding/desire to learn about financial modelling, P&L, and risk.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math or equivalent training and relevant experience
  • Ideally the candidate should have 10+ years of work experience in a financial services environment delivering outstanding technical solutions
  • Strong Python development. Working experience with .NET and SQL Server database. OS: Linux, Windows
  • UI Development experience 3+ yrs. especially in .NET WPF.
  • Understanding and experience of RDBMS is needed.
