Job Description

Initial investigation, solution identification and sizing.Requirements management and high level design.Detailed analysis and design. Specification for construction by yourself or another team member.Build and unit test against specifications.Responsible for on-time delivery of high-quality codeSystem test planning and system test execution.Support QA phase by tracking and assigning defects to development team; work with QA leads to schedule fixes and builds and enable QA to be successfulImplementation and warranty support.Identify efficiencies and ways to improve design and development processesIdentify ways to increase efficiency of production support - Find solutions that allow operations to better do their job without involving development resource time.Excellent knowledge of the Full life cycle of a project.Technical Skills-The technical requirements of this role are as follows:-At least 1 - 2 years software development experience required in the OO environmentExperience in development of rule engine or in complex event processing (IBM ODM, JRules, iLog).Must haveJava & J2EE, SQL (DB2, iBatis and MyBatis), Webservices (Soap and Rest), (UNIX & AIX -(C, K, Perl), VI editor), (Rational Products, Rose, UML), (Quality Centre), (SVN), (Transfer protocols -NDM, SFTP, NAS, MQ & MQ Client, XML, XML parsing)Strong Knowledge in spring, spring security, Apache CXF and JUnitGood working Experience Agile Teams and able to run the Agile scrumsDesired: OSGI framework; IBM Message Broker; Deployment scripting ANT, Groovy Knowledge of (Keon, Etrust rules, security, SSL Auth), IBM ODM 8.X versionThe behavioral requirements of this role are as follows:-High level of personal commitment to each task, a can do attitude and a drive to deliver.Strong communication skills to be able to communicate at all levels.Ability to gather and understand requirements, create UML Analysis/Design Models.High level of responsibility and Ownership from inception through to implementation.The candidate should have a proactive approach to problem solving.Good analysis skills in order to aid in trouble shooting and problem solvingGood testing principles as well as good defect management skillsExperience coaching and mentoring junior resourcesEducation and Experience-Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Masters degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Information Technology a plus.1-2 years performing development of Applications in an OO environmentJ2EE Certification for java a plusKnowledge of release management version and revision control practices and proceduresStrong knowledge of development life cyclesSolid experience in Java design, coding, testing and debugging techniquesExperience designing application design documents with UMLSolid experience in enterprise level J2EE platforms using J2EE design patternsExperience with a relational databaseStrong SQL knowledge including query design and performance tuningKnowledge of open source tools and utilitiesWorking knowledge of middleware services and its utilization.Experience coding and consuming web services.Knowledge on Control-M Jobs.Experience in working on ODM with WebSphere.Experience with Eclipse or a similar IDEExperience with subversion or similar source code versioning toolsExperience working with Tomcat or similar application serverMust have full life-cycle experience in large, global multi-tiered systems, preferably in the financial industryExcellent interpersonal relationship and communication / presentation skillsStrong technical documentation skillsDemonstrates initiative and a self-starterPrepared to challenge when business requirements seem conflictingDrive/Determination and knowledge.,
