Job Description

Develop and maintain user- facing interfaces, tools and features Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/ UX designs Estimate work and be accountable for delivering on tasks Build reusable code and libraries for various applications Optimize application for maximum page load speed and scalability Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back- end Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Write appropriate technical documentation to aid in knowledge transfer Creating presentable reporting interfaces with visually appealing graphs and charts Stay abreast of new technical trends in front- end technologies, learn related tools and technologies quickly and implement them to enhance product experience Architectural planning for Front End technology, and collaborating on data formats and APIs with partner teams internally Required Skills 3+ years of experience building Web based front- end applications Excellent working knowledge of Linux, Apache/ Nginx, MySQL, PHP (LAMP/ LEMP) with hands- on programming experience of PHP and MySQL Proficient understanding of Web markup, including HTML5/ CSS3 Proficient understanding of client- side scripting and JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, vue.js, React Js etc, including jQuery Familiarity with Web- Usability standards, menu navigation, accessibility, bread crumbs, pagination, search, filtering grids, tabular content with sorting/ in- place edits Ability to present visual graphs for reporting tools using D3.js and similar charting libraries Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX Strong knowledge of Web Security, Sessions, Cookies, XML, JSON, APIs, DOM Scripting, etc Strong programming, analysis and design skills including OOP, Algorithms, Data Structures, Networking, strong HTTP fundamentals and good OS Concepts Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT/ SVN Ability to grasp emerging technical standards and apply/ mentor development team in right direction and enthusiasm for solving internet scale challenging problems Working knowledge with various caching technologies, NoSQL and relational databases, experience of writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, experience in MySQL Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image Proficient understanding of cross- browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them Additional Desired Skills Added advantage if you have exposure to large scale website development and advance technology components like CDN, load balancers, distributed logging, distributed queries, queueing engines, containerization, AWS/ Google cloud Excellent communication skills Excellent teamwork skills, ability to self- start, share insights, ask questions, and report progress Strong enthusiasm in solving messy problems with good solution design skills Working experience on scalable interactive web applications, preferably at a major internet property Basic understanding of server- side CSS pre- processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them Working knowledge of both Unix and Windows in a software development setting, prefer strength in Unix (all flavors) environment Benefits Leave travel allowance, medical allowance, conveyance allowance, bonus etc. are a given everywhere & here at Affinity too.
