Job Description

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages specific to Tandem Mainframe I.e COBOL 85, TAL , JAVA, TACL, PATHWAYS concept, OSH, SQL MX/MP, FUP Commands, DDL, BASE24, SCOBOL, ENFORM etc
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement , Production Support, Performance Tuning.
Skills and Experience
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in Information Technology
  • Experience with large Tandem applications utilizing knowledge of Tandem Systems/Guardian, Pathway, TACL.
  • Enscribe and SQL-MP databases
  • Pathway and ECOBOL development experience.
  • TAL and COBOL85 experience is preferred.
  • JAVA, JavaScript, SOAP, XML, JSON and any Cloud technology knowledge/experience is a big plus.
  • Unix or NonStop OSS experience preferred.
  • Experience with change management, implementation planning and release management.
  • Agile and Agile principles ensuring smoother/faster software lifecycles.
  • Understanding and implementation of test-driven development.
  • Experience in code management and versioning methodologies with experience with a leading code management tool (GIT is a plus).
  • DevOps experience is a plus.
