Job Description

    AWM Software Engineer Full Stack Developer Associate The Role The candidate will function as an Application Developer within the Client Technology Publishing Solutions Technology Team with a focus on Java and web based software solutions. As part of the development team, the candidate will work to deliver high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing innovative and strategic applications. The role will involve design and development with Java and database technologies as well as HTML5/JavaScript products as part of building out the new strategic platform for Client Reporting. This role is in a rapidly expanding team with growth opportunities as the team expands to build out a new Global Client Servicing platform. Key Responsibilities:
    • Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, and debugs programming to satisfy business requirements.
    • Work as part of a Scrum team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion including but not limited to sprint planning, complexity analysis, standup calls, and sprint retrospectives.
    • Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.
    • Deliver on Java based technologies for the Investment Management business.
    • Perform application development build tasks and perform application coding in Java, JavaScript, HTML5, SQL and other related technologies.
    • Build report templates using the BIRT reporting engine
    • Communicate timely status on development items to management team, as well as raise/work to resolve issues impacting development.
    • Participates in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations.
    Skills / Competencies
    • 4 to 10 years of experience with related technologies and the software development life cycle
    • Strong Java programming skills
    • Experience with Spring and REST based web services
    • Experience with database development and design including experience with Oracle and/or Sybase
    • Angualr/React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5 skills desirable
    • Experience in Java based Reporting tools like BIRT will be added advantage
    • Experience in CICD, DEVOPS
    • Ability to multi-task and engage productively on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to balance application development and application support needs
    • Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences that include peers, partners, and senior IT and Business management
    • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies/practices and how to apply them
    • Knowledge of the Asset Management and Investment Management business
    • College degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent major
