• Standard Chartered is transforming into a Digital Bank and requires a forward thinking and best in class Malware Protection capability which provides a service portfolio of malware detection and prevention solutions that will enable our businesses worldwide to conceptualise, build, deploy and run applications that are secured against known and emerging cyber threats.
• The Cyber Security Services (CSS) team is made up of cyber security thought leaders, who are accountable for the provision of a global set of cyber security services and products to maintain and continuously improve Bank s cyber security posture in today s ever evolving cyber security landscape.
• The Solution Architect will play a key role in developing and maintaining a common understanding of projects goals, objectives and scope.
• The Solution Architect will work as part of the transformation team to proactively engage stakeholders and elicit business requirements utilizing various techniques and methods to effectively document both the target state of the processes, people, technology and changes required to implement respective solutions addressing these requirements in a jointly agreed manner.
• Solution Architect will support project teams throughout entire project lifecycle (all stages) from inception through design, build, test to final deployment and closure.

ResponsibilitiesSolution Architect (SA) is responsible for a quality delivery of solution according to SCB standards. The person in role of SA needs to have a balanced mix of skills: technologies, industry knowledge, communication, stakeholder management, leadership, problem solving, decision recommendation and negotiation skills.Solution Architect is responsible for introduction of overall programme technical vision for solutions delivered by projects.

• Work closely with Programme Manager, Project Managers and Domain Architect to ensure business requirements are properly captured and addressed by proposed architecture and project scope.
• Understand all aspects of projects constraint to include scope, schedule, budget, quality, cost, risk, and resources. Be able to recommend and make technological and managerial recommendation/decisions to reconcile these restrictions with project goals
• Acquire deep understanding of SCB standards governing solution delivery to effectively guide the project to deliver the required documentation according to scope and quality expectations.
• Communicates solutions, ideas, suggestions to a variety of (business) stakeholders effectively and comprehensibly
• Support project stakeholders (collect the input, coordinate the meetings) with defining the underlying technical requirements and compliance/regulatory obligations
• Must be able to galvanise products and processes into a coherent solution that meets key goals of the service lines.
• Evaluates solutions prepared by project team to ensure that they are in alignment with the organizations objectives and processes using SCB recognized standards
• Work closely with project managers to build and manage a project teams of suitably skilled and experience practitioners to deliver the project from requirements through to transition and go-live (including definition of target BAU processes)
• Support Domain Architect and Security Engineers with defining and socializing a target architecture and logical process library
• Work closely with vendors to ensure that vendors will follow the company standards and respect the team members requirements and questions
• Identify areas for Business Efficiency gains through technical enhancements or process redesign
• Identifying, selecting and onboarding new technology as/when required through a structured and comprehensive selection process and ensuring buy-in from affected stakeholders
• To understand the technical infrastructure problems, challenges, and complexities that exist within each stream or area of a project
• Must be able to galvanise products and processes into a coherent solution that meets key goals of the service lines.
• Identifying and owning architectural, technical and deployment risk, escalating to Project Managers and Product Managers and service owners (as appropriate) with strategies to mitigate that risk
• Assurance of all technical design documentation including infrastructure, development specifications, functional and non-functional requirements specification to meet company and customer requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent
• Strong experience in Banking, Information Security Technology with at least 5 years as an Architect or Senior Engineer tasked with design responsibilities.
• Self-driven personality able to effectively operate with minimal guidance and supervision.
• Very strong technical skills in various cyber security domains, especially malware protection and network security with good understanding of other incl. Identity & Access Management, Data Protection etc.
• Strong Technical skills in various technology areas (operating systems, databases, networking, ETL processes, endpoints etc).
• Highly entrepreneurial with a high level of motivational energy, passion in field and an unrelenting drive to success. Excellent organisational and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise
