Job Description

  • Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Business Analysts, Technical Business Analysts, Systems Engineers, other Architects, and software development teams
  • Recommend solutions and technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility
  • Build and maintain a repository for deliverables and methodologies
  • Create and drive best practices across architecture organisation
  • Contribute extensively to the maturation of solution architecture capabilities aligned with enterprise architecture.
  • Deliver solution architecture within the required timeframe.
Communication
  • Responsible for pro-active and regular communication with all stakeholders
  • Actively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues where appropriate.
  • Play an active role in building a team culture of excellence, respect and transparency.
  • Utilise weekly 1 on 1 session with line manager to communicate openly about the role.
  • Communicate daily and weekly delivery performance levels as required
  • Writes and speaks fluently on all aspects of work and communicates effectively with all levels of management
General
  • Complies with all Company Health and Safety policies and legislation in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines.
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capability.
Role-specific experience and skillsEssential
  • Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
  • TOGAF 9 or above certification
  • Understanding of SDLC and experience of agile ways of working
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microservice architecture, multi-product & multi-channel solutions and ecommerce platforms like SalesForce, Magento2 or equivalent
  • AWS Solution Architect Professional certification is highly desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in engaging with 3rd party suppliers as part of a solution design process.
  • Experience in working with offshore teams, particularly India
  • High attention to detail, well-organised and capable of handling multiple objectives and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks, be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Be able and willing to challenge upwards, proactively and constructively.
  • Strong skills with tools used to document solution architecture.
