Job Description

    • Big Data experience in Pyspark, Scala, Hive HDFS
    • Expertise in Supporting Applications

    • Strong Knowledge / hands-on in Big Data Technologies Python Spark, Scala, HDFS, MapReduce and Any reporting tools like one of Tableau, Dataiku, Alteryx.
    • Understanding of Coding standards, Design patterns and guidelines. Understanding on source control, versioning, branching, etc.
    • Good understanding of software development life cycle using Agile / Waterfall models and Process adherence.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving and ability to prioritize and organize multiple task.
    • Database - strong RDBMS skills around writing efficient SQL s and complex procedures.
    • Familiar with Enterprise Data Warehouse and Reference Data Management is a plus.
    • Good Knowledge with Control M, JIRA, Remedy, ETL process, Hadoop.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
    • Good Experience with Unix / Linux and batch scripting is a plus.
    • Self-managing and ability to lead project solution end-to-end.
    • Good Experience in DevOps Integration and Deployment.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Familiar with JIRA and Confluence.

    Our Ideal Candidate
    • Hands-on experience with Hadoop (e.g. MapReduce, Spark, Sqoop, Pig, Hive, HBase, Flume).
    • Exposure to ecosystem technologies -Storm and Kafka / Spark is highly desirable.
    • Exposure to NOSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc).
    • Excellent Knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and commands.
    • Excellent Knowledge of DW, ETL concepts.
    • Experience with major Hadoop distros and platforms like Cloudera, Hortonworks, mapR, etc is essential.
    • Certifications from Cloudera, Hortonworks etc., is an added advantage.
