Job Description

  • Institutional Client Group (ICG) business dedicated Financial Intelligence resource will be a key part of the ICG community for Europe, responsible for the creation, ownership and integrity of key management information across all aspects of the ICG Europe business.
  • We are looking to recruit a person to play an important role for the ICG team with direct face off to critical senior stakeholders of ICG Europe FD & BM team. The individual will be responsible for preparing analysis, reports, ExCo presentations for the Management team.
  • The role will also involve regular interaction with rest of the Financial Intelligence offshore team responsible for reporting and analysis on the financial and non financial processes.
  • The successful candidate should have experience in financial analysis and financial systems, experience in budgeting/planning and be able to present to senior management.
  • Given the nature of the business and offshore environment of the team, short travel may be expected for periods in excess of 1 week.
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • 1.Working in close coordination with ICG Europe Finance Directors/ Managers and Business Managers across products to cater to business requirements
  • Drive Projects & Initiatives to support the BMs / FD / FMs in the ICG team which may be very diverse and varied.
  • Liase with IT team to ensure IT initiatives are implemented. Completing UAT for the IT developments.
  • Prepare critical Management reports, cost and shadow revenue analysis, and presentations for the senior stakeholders assisting them in key decision making.
  • Initiate, design and socialize templates to prepare annual RC / cost plan for ICG Europe. Coordinate with Business Managers to finalise the plan.
  • Will be exposed to / interact with Business Managers, as well as Support Areas (e.g. Finance), as necessary to deliver the required end products.
  • Work with the BMs / FM s to identify and implement improvements to the way in which different processes works.
  • Review all analysis, provide value added commentary, be proactive about understanding various business issues and their resolution, continue to develop standardised meaningful MIS as well as develop meaningful operational metrics
  • Act as a resource to facilitate complex problem solving and issue resolution
  • Function as a motivational force within the team.
  • Strong English skills required. Ability to communicate clearly with regional and global business managers (both verbal and written communication)
  • Post Graduate degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration
  • Experience of working in KPI-driven, performance-metric focussed, timeliness and quality focussed
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, detail orientation, service commitment, solid organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Logical and structured thinking, Intellectual curiosity and ambition
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks, and meets strict deadlines
  • Should be a self starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong Excel (data manipulation, analysis); powerpoint.
