The Amazon Devices team designs and develops high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Kindle family of products. We have also produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Dash, and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create We are looking for an exceptionally talented leader to head the marketing function for the Connectivity Solutions Group.The role-holder will be based in MumbaiKey Responsibilities: Own the P&L. Directly responsible for driving top line performance and key cost metrics. Lead a team of marketing managers to conceptualize and execute needle-moving programs to achieve customer acquisition, user engagement, retention and revenue realization goals. Own and execute the end-to-end Go-To-Market strategy including subscription plans, promotion strategy (across traditional and digital media) and channel strategy. Manage marketing budgets and drive efficient utilization of the same Leverage data analysis, research, competitive intelligence to build efficient and scalable marketing programs. Consistently bring strong, data-driven business and strategic judgment to decisions. Influence organization-wide product/ technology roadmaps and investment priorities Review organization goals/ metrics and drive root causing of problems through data analysis to determine solutions. Influence cross-functional internal and/or external senior leadership. Actively mentor and develop others within and outside direct team. Own critical mechanisms like Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews and Operating Planning Influence the business rollout strategy through robust, data-driven market planning Work extensively with other Amazon teams to identify opportunities for synergy and leverage existing Amazon assets Unblock teams to deliver results through stakeholder management and innovative solutions Effectively prioritize agendas and make trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs. Adept at managing both strategic and operational aspects of the role Present high quality documents that articulate ideas and decisions to leaders up to SVP level Stay abreast of new tools, trends, and best practices in marketing; test and evaluate their efficacy in improving scale or effectiveness of marketing efforts Drive clarity in the midst of high levels of ambiguity. Actively recruit for Amazon as well as play a significant role in the career development of others, actively mentoring others, and educating the larger community on best practices., Post-graduation 10+ years experience in marketing roles with 3+ years leading the marketing function for subscription-based businesses like telecom, OTT Track record of executing multi-channel and multi-territory campaigns, with a high level of comfort with the tools and techniques of digital marketing. Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities. Strong inter-personal and people management skills. Should have experience of being a manager of managers. Should have led team (direct + skip level) of at least 8 on-roll employees Exceptional conceptualization skills Willingness to roll-up sleeves to get the job done MBA in Marketing from a Tier-1 institute 3+ years leading the marketing function for an OTT or DTH service Experience in channel strategy (sales) is a plus
