Job Description:Purpose: To lead the indirect material Purchasing activities related to all the manufacturing sites of Huntsman in India. Ensuring that EHS, Legislative and SOx requirements are met and that ongoing opportunities are identified and savings targets are set and delivered. The person will work as part of the corporate purchasing team to serve all the business.Dimensions: All manufacturing units in India i.e Three company owned plants & Three Tolling units, . Global sourcing of Engineering equipment and services from India in the area of Projects, MRO, Engineering Services, capital equipments.Key Accountabilities: 1. To lead and manage the indirect material Purchasing activities across all the manufacturing sites related to MRO, Services, Projects, capital equipment. Ensuring that appropriate EHS, Legislative and compliance targets are set and delivered.2. Make strategy for cost reduction in MRO, services, common consumables through alternate sourcing and market intelligence.3. Establish a relationship with local site management teams, site engineering team which delivers compliance to corporate contracts and preferred supplier lists. Deliver robust regular reports of performance measures.4. Lead and assist in negotiations with suppliers. Establish innovative contracts with key suppliers to deliver optimum service at minimum cost.5. Rationalise the supply base. Develop strong relationships with suppliers involving them in6. local site problem resolution.7. Leverage consolidated volume of all the units and drive the cost savings.8. To initiate and lead the low cost country sourcing (LCCS) for global engineering procurements from India.9. Lead and support some of the global projectsSpecial Features: Manage internal and external customer relationships, to work through members of the purchasing and business management organisations in some cases external business partners in order to maintain and build the relationship and to achieve the organizational objective.Knowledge, experience and skills required:
