    • Lead and co-ordinate the efforts to develop, deploy and optimize credit initiation servicing strategy and processes.
    • Work with Country Management, Business Partners, Product Partners and other Risk team members to optimize performance and resource allocation.
    • Identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support strategy testing environment and daily operations.
    • Identifying and reporting all weaknesses inherent in the standard controls
    • Coordinates development of the design, management and adherence of key operating controls and levers that improve credit initiation efficiency and customer experience.
    • To ensure underwriting of New Unsecured Loan Applications, Credit Card applications. as per policies in Credit DOI and Bulletins, adhering to strict time deadlines (TAT).
    • Ensure capacity is adequate to support country processing, and that linkage between capacity planning, volumes and expenses remains robust at all times.
    • Manage and improve unit costs.
    • Establish work and strategic plans to support the implementation of strategies to improve performance.

    • Effectively manage and handle escalations/process breaches received
    • Help team improve their efficiency in assessment of applications by providing suggestions on complex deals
    Risk Management
    • Catalogue and document all tests, strategies and outcomes implemented in Credit Initiation.
    • Discretion to analyze and accept employment, Income, scorecard defers, application/behavior scores, valuation risk ratings outside of policy (within CAD guidelines)
    • All the 3 p s of the respective country and regulatory condition are adhered while desicioning the application , to manage risks
    • To comply with the bank s requirements of AML monitoring/reporting, KYC and all policies related to the group reputation risk.
    • Relevant DOI/Bulletins are checked before processing a request, incase of any exception the same is pended/rejected and reported.
    Governance
    • In the event of serious regulatory breaches,policy breaches or where credit appetitate have been breached, ensure senior management are informed and that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
    • Identifying and reporting all exceptions on non-compliance with standard controls
    • Service level are to be checked and monitored and ensure there is no breach.
    Regulatory & Business conduct
    • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
    • Support the Credit Initiation Procedures provide a standard framework to countries for developing and deploying credit initiation processes with an objective of optimizing efficiency without impacting credit quality.
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
    • To comply and adhere to the Sanction policies laid down by the Group

    • Retail Risk Operation- Credit representatives in group and country.

    • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular weekly meetings on improving quality of assessment and providing sound credit decisions to our stakeholders/customers
    Our Ideal Candidate For Grade F: 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience or knowledge of the lending related activites/ documentation and to hand on experience with delegation to decision lendingStrong knowledge about Secured and unsecured products for Credit underwriting process.For grade G: 12 to 15 years of relevant work experience , vast knowledge of hubbing mobel and credit operations and decision metrics
    • Credit decision experience in either secure or Unsecured product
    • Factors
      • Perform credit monitoring and annual/renewal review on approved credit

      • Respond to stakeholders regarding all credit applications related inquiries
      • Understand and execute all relevant regulatory requirements, Group and
    • Country credit policies and procedure
      • Comply with anti fraud procedures and be alert at all times, make immediate
    • Report for any unusual or suspicious customer activity to FRM unit
    • Apply lending/credit policy, product and guidelines, and a high level of judgement, in applicants credit worthiness.
    • Providing high level of data input and quality output through exercising of quality credit decisions, within CAD guidelines.
