Job Description

Position Title: Senior Manager Underwriting (Retail)Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides management, support, guidance and consultation to medical underwriters and project management team
  • Analyses and monitors quality of medical risks underwritten and production of the team via erforming clinical reviews, identify areas of improvement and consequence management
  • Develops, administers and monitors new medical underwriting rules and guidelines for indemnity and benefit products
  • Project lead for automating the evidence of insurability and medical underwriting process
  • Prepares clinical and medical recommendations based on data summaries, trend analysis, financial analysis, and business analysis.
  • Responsible for clinical and medical underwriting of health and benefit products Prepares and may do presentations
Required Candidate profileExperience / Knowledge Requirements:
  • 10-12 years of Underwriting experience
  • Hands on experience on medical underwriting of retail health business
  • Well versed with automation needs and current capabilities available to meet expectations Ability to independently manage vendor
  • Should be well versed with IRDA Regulations and changing industry trends on Health Insurance
