Sr R&D Test EngineerJob Locations IN-MumbaiRequisition ID 2hidden_mobile9 Category Research & Development Whats the role The Sr. R&D Test Engineer should be comfortable working with local and remote development teams, capable of influencing product stakeholders with crisp communication and analytic skills and be motivated to inject quality in all phases of the development process. We are seeking a self-motivated, curious and team oriented individual who isn t afraid to roll up their sleeves and manually test if that is what the quality bar demands.As a team member you will:
• Coordinate with product owners, designers and developers to translate requirements and wireframes into acceptance criteria, test cases and test plans
• Define and lead quality process of an agile development team
• Own the automation test tooling and architecture
• Help innovate our team s CI/CD infrastructure
• Help plan and document releases
• Plan, execute (manual and automated) and report on integration, system and performance tests
• Help drive the adoption of TDD practices among the development team
• Collaborate with other engineering and testing teams across the company
• Contribute to product support & troubleshooting
Who are you
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, test automation or development and test execution (manual and automated)
• 2+ years of experience writing automated REST web service tests
• 1+ years of experience writing automated relational database tests
• 1+ years of experience in testing Microservices setup
• Experience writing automated and manual test plans, test cases and test case management
• Excellent knowledge of QA processes and testing fundamentals
• Performance testing experience using JMeter or any equivalent tools
• Experience with CI/CD systems
• A strong work ethic and sense of accountability
• Calm, logical troubleshooting skills
Preferred qualifications
• Experience with automated test runners and different reporting tools
• Experience with test case management tools (e.g. JIRA Zephyr)
• Experience with remote teams
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs
• Experience with profiling and performances tools (e.g. JProfiler, Sonar, YourKit)
• Experience with Unix/Linux OS s and shell scripting
• Experience with AWS or other cloud computing environments
