Job Description

  1. The work of the strategy team includes business performance review, analysis of business and operating model, market entry strategy, acquisition screening and industry & competitor analysis.
  2. The team works directly with senior management across the businesses and regions to determine the optimal strategy for reaching aspirations in the rapidly changing market environment.
  3. Work as a part of the Wholesale Strategy division on global, regional and divisional projects
  4. Prepare presentations for senior management board meetings, investor day, off-sites, town halls
  5. Support management / business on strategic projects (e.g. assessing the impact of Brexit on banking industry and scenario analysis, impact of changing regulations on capital market business, acquisition screening / evaluation, supporting FinTech initiative etc)
  6. Strategic assessment of underperforming businesses and development of scenarios / recommendations for business heads
  7. Conduct analysis of the competitive and general macro / market environment for senior management presentations. Develop market sizing / revenue pool models
  8. Prepare quarterly presentation on Wholesale division s earnings covering financial performance analysis, changes in business environment and key themes impacting the earnings
  9. Most of the projects require working closely with strategy team members, business CAOs, finance and other functional teams in different regions; working independently or with the support of another member of the team
  10. Role provides wide exposure into investment banking industry across Fixed Income, Equities and IB Advisory.
  11. Should be either doing internal consulting in a Financial Services firm OR
  12. Should be with a consulting firm and clients in Financial Services industry
