Structural Designer/ Draftsman Civil/ Onshore Mumbai, India | Harris Pye Job Description The group is actively seeking to recruit the following personnel for their Mumbai office, India: Structural Designer/ Draftsman Civil/ Onshore Preparation of drafting deliverables, i.e. 3D models, 2D detail drawings, GAs, sketches, BOMs, weld maps and etc.as per projects requirements suing AutoCAD, cadworx Qualifications Diploma in Civil/ ITI Draftsman AutoCAD/ Cadworx/ Tekla/ any other steel detailing software Responsibilities To develop 3D models, 2D detailed fabrication drawings, general arrangements and layouts To prepare Bill of Materials and weight calculations Develop fabrication and connection drawings for steel structure and nesting To ensure all works to be performed with no errors and as per the Drafting standards, Project specifications, guidelines, Company s procedures, etc. as advised by senior team members To undertake back- drafting of drawings to reflect corrections that need to be made to initial documentation. Revises drawings incorporating subsequent modifications To prepare of As Built drawings following receipt of mark- ups from the site and project team To undertake engineering site surveys under the guidance of senior team members To undertake other supporting tasks as assigned and deemed reasonable Key skills/ knowledge/ experience Minimum of 10 years of previous drafting experience with at least 5+ year in the Civil / onshore sector Experienced and competent Computer Aided Design (CAD) operator Experience in 3D modeling is essential Familiar with Microsoft office suite Knowledge of material grades, welding symbols/ details, profiles standards Power, oil and gas experience is a good asset Ship repair industry experience will be an added advantage Fair knowledge of Classification Society s rules and regulations Fluent in English (spoken and written) Attractive salary package will be available to the selected candidate commensurate with experience and qualifications.
