Job Description

Through minimal supervision supports all phases of software implementation and post implementation production support. Support s applications and handles a s s ignment s with major complexity and scope. May manage projects with multiple cross-impact areas.Direct ResponsibilitiesThe Application Engineer s responsibilities include, but not are limited to, project implementation and post production (BAU) support:Install and configure software in all environments (DEV, UAT, Staging, Production and DR). Apply and support product defect fixes and updates, from testing thru implementation. Performance platform tuning and module configurations. Provide 24x7 production support and troubleshoot issues related to assigned applications.Experience in security related activities like vulnerability management.Maintain platforms up-to-date with Security, OS, DB, and 3rd party patches. Monitor and maintain system health, performance, and batch processing (e.g., EOD processing, file transfer and loading.Develop, maintain and support Disaster Recovery plans and annual exercise.Assist other team members to troubleshoot more complex issues.Adherence to Audit, Compliance and Risk guidelines. Technical & Behavioral Competencies Technical Competencies :4-6 years in IT Application Production support experience.Good Database skills (Oracle SQL/PLSQL, MS SQL) with strong ability to debug.Good experience In WebServers, Tomcat, Web sphere, IIS, WebLogic etc, including application deployments, upgrades, patching, configurations.Windows 2012/2016 server, IIS 7.x.Hands on in scripting languages like Unix, Shell scripting, Perl scripting, VB script and Java scriptExposure to Application Security areas like- Vulnerability Management, Penetration Test FixesCyber ark Account Management AwarenessTroubleshooting of application, network, and server based issues.Ability to understand, follow, design and document process flows.Behavioral Competencies :Ability and willingness to rotate in various shifts during weekdays (Mon-Fri) as below :o 2 weeks of morning shift from 6.00 AM to 2.30 AMo 2 weeks of afternoon shift from 2.00 AM to 10.30 PMo 2 weeks of night shift from 10.00 PM to 6.30 PM Ability to work on weekends as and when required as defined by the business needs.Ability and willingness to work on weekends on demand basis as per the shift roster.Good Written and verbal communication skills.Support multiple lines of business and ability to multitask on applications/technologies in various domains.Ability to work independently and follow escalation process when applicable.Ability to work in high stress environment and meet defined SLAs., *Bachelor s degree BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field Skills Referential Behavioural Skills : (Please select up to 4 skills)Communication skills - oral & writtenAbility to collaborate / TeamworkAttention to detail / rigorAbility to deliver / Results drivenTransversal Skills: (Please select up to 5 skills)Ability to understand, explain and support changeAnalytical AbilityAbility to develop and adapt a processAbility to inspire others & generate peoples commitmentAbility to manage / facilitate a meeting, seminar, committee, trainingEducation Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent Experience Level At least 3 years Other/Specific Qualifications (if required)
