Job Description

Role purposeManagement of production support team in Mumbai to provide a 24x7 support to production systems. Strong communication and partnership with the key business stakeholders in managing day-to-day production environmentsKey accountabilitiesTechnical activities

  • Support Application Support Manager to administer and enhance more cost effective and predictable methods for supporting a growing technology infrastructure and working with internal development groups to manage application changes as they are released to production environments
  • Collaborating with skilled professionals across the globe and managing a broad range of technologies and applications, the Production Operations Group delivers service quality and excellence through teamwork, innovating operational processes, and being part of the One Travelex culture
  • Provide technical leadership for problem management of production incidents and escalation
  • Support in the development and people management of the team, including coaching and mentoring of specific resources in the team, recruitment and resourcing strategies
  • Management and reporting of key production availability metrics
Relationship management
  • Identify, recognise and acknowledge IT management and stakeholders
  • Establish communication channel with relevant stakeholders
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all level and prepared to deputise for Application Support Manager as required
Communication

Essential
  • Degree in Computer Science
  • At least 7+ years of experience in leading production services team in a large environment is preferred
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Strong people management experience handling large size teams
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with working in a global organisation
  • Experience in Java and J2EE
  • Experience in .Net
  • Familiarity with managing applications running on Unix/Windows platforms
  • Familiarity with ITIL
