Job Description

*RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DOCTOR

  • To take over from the previous shift Technician.
  • To assist the doctor in all the clinical procedures as and when necessary.
  • To assist in transport of patients along with the doctors as and when necessary.
  • To involve in the day-to-day cleaning and sterilization procedures.
  • To ensure the items are in optimal stock and inform the same to the head of the department in case of shortage
  • To check and send equipment for repair if needed after confirming with the head of the department
  • To inform the Biomedical department and the concerned company representatives in case of any breakdown.
  • To maintain all equipments and to keep relevant records and to maintain a checklist of equipments in each shift
  • To calibrate and keep ready all the equipments used to receive fresh cases
RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS NURSE
  • To assist the staff nurses while receiving the patients
  • To write the investigation forms and send it to the concerning labs when requested by doctor.
  • To keep the syringe pump, monitors, defibrillators, emergency light &#CD# other equipments charged always.
  • To pack and send oxygen tubing suction tubing, chest drainage tubing for gas sterilization. Ensure that the time is tagged in each padding.
  • To assemble ventilator in aseptic way.
  • To keep regular stock of sterile ventilator tubing and inform shortage in advance.
  • To ensure that the water in ventilator tubing are kept empty.
  • To assist the nurses during emergencies and transportation of the patient.
RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS PARAMEDICALS
  • To assist the paramedical (Physiotherapists, Radiographers) in positioning the patients for different procedures.
RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS ADMINISTRATION
  • To maintain all equipments in good working condition and to maintain a checklist of equipments in each shift.
  • In case of breakdown of any machine, to inform the biomedical department and the company representatives.
  • To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.
  • To be aware of departments performance the indicators and objective.
  • To carryout data collection/support in data collection.
  • To adhere to the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
  • To perform any job / task as and when assigned by the superior.
