Job Description

  • Job Responsibilities(JR) : 6-8 Areas Actionable (4-6) 1) Problem Management Performing Level2 analysis (triage and troubleshoot issues) by engaging with development, infrastructure and database teams to provide root cause, recommendations and resolution.
  • Supporting production escalations and managing issues through resolution to stabilize operational environments.
  • Collaborating closely with release/change, technical documentation, root cause analytic, and production readiness functions on service run issues, resolutions, planning, and mitigation Providing Build automated solutions for the recurring tasks.
  • Interact with project teams for new products development giving insights from technical issues of previous products.
  • Production Servers and Test Environment System Maintenance (Daily / Weekly/ Monthly upgrades) ensuring 24*7 availability of servers.
  • Atomization of manual tasks improving TAT timings using Unix Shell scripting and other tools.
  • Conducting DR Drill periodically, archiving and purging production data based on customer agreement.
Skills
  • Hands on experience of Web Technology
  • - Fundamentals of RDBMS
  • - Good understanding of Java/J2EE and Oracle database
  • - Good understanding of AIX systems
  • - Would need to interact with Software vendors on day to day basis.
  • - Deployment and testing skills
  • - Strong communication skills
  • Exposure to one in each of the following areas:
  • OS-> Windows and UNIX/AIX
  • Languages -> Java fundamentals, C
  • Application server -> IBM Web sphere OR Web logic
  • RDBMS -> Oracle / SQL server
  • Architecture -> .Net/J2EE
  • Network-> Fundamentals
  • Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life cycle)
  • Experience in E Banking Solutions would be helpful. Oracle DBA certification will be additional advantage
