Job Description

  • Sr IT Teradata developer with experience of Datastage
  • 9 yrs of IT and and 6 yrs of banking experience
  • Ability to write efficient SQL exposure to query tuning
  • Good knowledge of Teradata architecture
  • Must have worked in Teradata 12 0 or greater environments
  • Very good knowledge of Advanced Teradata concepts like Join strategy Index choic
  • e Performance Optimization Compression etc
  • Very good in Load Unload Utilities like Mload Fastload FastExport TPT
  • Very good exposure to Data warehouse concepts
  • Support the application development teams for technical issues
  • Analyze and solve application and business defects
  • Assist in troubleshooting software application issues
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements
  • Experience with customizing maintaining building and supporting DataStage ETL jobs
  • 5 years experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage Change Data Capture developing both Server and Parallel jobs running on platforms
  • 3 to 5 years of working with ETL designers and experience in converting specifications to ETL graphs
  • 5 years of experience with data analysis data integration and database design and development
  • Knowledge in data modeling data warehousing and scripting
  • Knowledge of banking business processes and data
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and on holidays
  • This position assists in the development delivery and overall implementation of data integration solutions in DataStage in a Teradata environment
  • This position exercises discretion and independent judgment to accomplish duties and responsibilities that advance the overall design and guidelines provided by the architecture and macro design
  • Responsible for ETL processes including database loading and manipulation to ensure that the data needs are met throughout the course of the development
  • Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable an effective development cycle
  • Responsible for Develop and program from detailed physical source to target mapping specifications Write datastage code to Extract Transform and Load data to various Teradata target tables Should be a lead material
  • Ready to take responsibilities Teradata SQL and stored procedures Teradata Architecture and Physical Implementation
  • Exposure to ETL process and semantic layer design development
  • Experience in creating Micro level design documents and mapping documents
  • Good to have knowledge on Teradata FSLDM IBM InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage IBM InfoSphere Information Analyzer Knowledge in data modeling data warehousing and scripting
  • Good to Have Knowledger on TWS
  • Knowledge of banking business processes and data
